Muslim Musical History

Dr. Filip Holm, a Swedish scholar of Religion, not a religious scholar, gives a profound history of music in Muslim culture. Utilizing the writings of Ibn Sina, al-Farabi, al-Ghazali, al-Kindi and others, Mr. Holm demonstrates the role music and music theory had in the development of Islamic education, philosophy and spiritualism dating back to the times of our Beloved Prophet (pboh).
